It Is Time!

It is time for me to dust of this old blog and begin afresh.  I feel God is moving me into a new facet of my life.  I am not sure what that is or even what that means.  For me, I plan to follow where He leads and do what he asks.  I have come to a place where I feel stagnant.  Not because of what I am doing or not doing, or where God has me, but rather because of... well... me.

I recently had someone come to me for counsel and when I confronted them with Christ gave the response, "What has Jesus or the Cross ever done for me?"  The answer, which escaped me in that moment, soon became undoubtedly clear in my own mind and heart.  God asking, "What have you ever done for me?"

What am I doing for Him?  Not just in ministry or by my overt actions but within my relationship with Him... What am I doing for Him?  We can ask ourselves this question easily when we are at  a spiritual mountain top, but it becomes increasingly hard to ask this of ourselves when we are in the "valley of the shadow of death."

However, we can respond when we take God's advice to Job in Job 38:3a, "Brace yourself like a man..."  In today's terms... "Man-up!"  Make a decision and stick to it.  Quit sitting on the bench and get in the game.  Start now doing whatever it is that needs doing.  No more excuses. No more regrets.  It is time to take action.  To be sold out for Him.

IT IS TIME!
